The nonprofit sector in the Portland region is robust and expansive. Lives are being touched every day. Communities are being transformed. But our collective capacity to prove and to improve our impact is insufficient. To ensure we are doing the greatest good for the communities we serve, we need an enhanced ability to engage in crisp, clear, and effective evaluation. This is a project to make that happen.
Our Strategy
- Convene teams of high-capacity leaders from 12 organization in a collegial learning community.
- Provide graduate-level training in half-day modules once a month.
- Interact in regular coaching conversations to customize and imbed learning.
- Design and execute fresh evaluation strategies.
- Produce quantitative and qualitative findings to demonstrate and improve impact.
The Details
Our cohort will meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the YWCA, 1111 SW 10th Avenue in Portland, Oregon from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for six months, January-June and September 2015.
Organizational fee which includes at least two and up to three leaders is $3900 for NAO members or $4300 for nonmembers.
Each participating organization will emerge with:
- An evaluation of a key area of their impact
- Tested instruments and protocols
- Findings to communicate to stakeholders and constituents
- Strategies for ongoing implementation
- Internal capacity to design and implement evaluation
- Evaluation partnerships with other leading regional nonprofits
