About this event

This interactive actionshop takes a broad view of cultural diversity. It encompasses many areas of identity, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, region, and many more.

We will:
• Introduce foundational skills for engaging in brave and productive discussions around issues of oppression.
• Discuss key concepts about oppression and how different types of oppression intersect.
• Practice skills for connecting across difference in a supportive environment.

It is a good fit for people who are new to diversity & equity work, as well as anyone who would like a refresher on key concepts and skills.
Come ready to be reflective & open in an environment of growth and learning.
