Local nonprofit organizations and businesses will be honored on
September 11 at the Nonprofit Excellence Awards sponsored by the Nonprofit Network Southwest Washington. The awards reception, which is presented by Columbia Credit Union, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Heathman Lodge, 7801 NE Greenwood Drive in Vancouver. Additional sponsors are Michael J. Plymale, Inc., P.S. Certified Public Accountant and Pacific Continental Bank. Award nominees are Clark College Foundation, Friends of the Children, WSU-V Business Growth Mentor & Analysis Program, Free Clinic of SW Washington, Second Step Housing, Riverview Community Bank and RSV Building Solutions. Cost for the reception is $20 per person.
