What All Grantmakers Need You to Tell Them – Whether They Know It or Not
The Ultimate Grants Toolkit Webinar
Friday, November 21, 2014
9:30-11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time
Being systematic and strategic about our grantseeking requires that we move ahead of the curve and work out our grant-funded project plans before a grant deadline looms. That means working smarter, not harder.
Here’s how: Start by understanding the key questions every funder needs to have answered in order to make an informed, intelligent decision about your proposal--then build your "business plan" around your answers.
We call this your Grant Proposal Blueprint--a document that serves both as your source document for every grant proposal you write for that project, and as your business plan for managing the project once the grant is awarded. In this session, you’ll learn how to build rock-solid, detailed "blueprints" for your good ideas, from the inside out and from the ground up. Topics we’ll cover:
- What is a “proposal blueprint”? Where does it come from? And why do you need it?
- The eight essential planning questions for your proposal blueprint: What all grantmakers need to know—whether they know it or not!
- Overview of blueprint components—your outline for success
- Learning from others: Examples of successful grant proposal blueprints
- Key planning tools and worksheets for building your blueprint step-by-step
BONUS: For funders without specific application forms or formats, you can simply tailor your blueprint text and submit it as your grant proposal—feeling 100% confident that you’re giving your reviewer exactly what he or she needs to make a good decision.
