About this event
Jon Colburn recently created a series of monoprints during a residency in the Salem Art Association’s Annex Studio at the Bush Barn Art
Center. His printed images represent stylized elephants in varying shades, hues and compositions. Completing this series inspired him to research the plight of elephants worldwide and he was subsequently moved to support efforts to save them. Jon will talk about his printmaking processes and the role art can play in social and environmental justice. A portion of the proceeds from sales of Jon’s artwork will benefit efforts to conserve elephant populations and their habitat around the globe.
