About this event
Through a set of experiential exercises, this workshop will provide the opportunity for participants to:
-Examine your current parenting/care philosophy and strategies.
-Identify areas of conflict in your relationship with your child(ren) and/or between your children.
-Learn basic principles of conflict resolution.
-Develop new strategies, tailored to your unique philosophy, values and circumstances, to deal with conflict in ways that promote respect, learning and collaborative problem solving in your family, school or care setting.
The workshop will be driven by the interests and experiences of the participants, and is appropriate for parents, teachers and other caregivers of children and youth from toddlers to teens.
Trainer:
Theresa Logan has a M.S. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, is a trained mediator, facilitator and a dedicated student of non-violent communication. She has worked in several early childhood education programs in Portland and
Washington, D.C., and is the mother of two young children. She is also a volunteer with Resolutions Northwest.
