Strategic Restructuring: Business Remodeling for Sustainability

Challenges to funding and staffing have become commonplace in nonprofits over the past several years. With system-wide federal funding cuts to many core community programs, many organizations are facing an unprecedented disruption to services and operations. This is not a situation that our sector can fundraise our way out of. It will take fundamental changes to nonprofits’ business models and forecasting for multiple scenarios. This session offers a framework for considering a range of restructuring strategies to help nonprofit leaders successfully navigate this challenging era.

This session builds on a 90-minute webinar originally offered as part of NAO’s five-part series, Facing the New Reality: Strategic Paths for Nonprofits. We have expanded this topic into a longer, facilitated session that allows for deeper exploration, discussion, and practical application.

Participation Guidelines

  • This workshop is primarily intended to support Oregon-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
  • The content provided is a best fit for those with an annual operating budget of more than $1M.
  • Enrollment is limited to 50 individuals with no more than two representatives from one organization.
  • Participants are encouraged to watch the webinar recording of Business Remodeling for Sustainability (approx. 90 minutes), part of our Facing the New Reality webinar series, available for free on our website.
  • Conversations will be held as confidential to allow for depth and breadth of exploration.

Because space is limited and participation guidelines apply, new registrations will be placed in a brief review status. Once your registration has been reviewed, you will receive an email with a link to a web page where you can complete the registration process.
