Tools and Techniques for Creating More Dynamic and Useful Meetings

Online Event
  • Member Price: $50.00
  • Non-member Price: $100.00

About this event

Would you like your meetings to be more dynamic and collaborative? Does your team struggle to make decisions together effectively and efficiently? Do you want your meetings to strengthen your team’s capacity to work well together?

This two-part online series will give you three practical and impactful tools that increase engagement and make your meetings more useful. You’ll learn how to:

  1. Maximize the use of small groups in order to focus the full-group discussion on more effective analysis, problem-solving, and consensus building.
  2. Use curiosity-based questions in unexpected ways to lower barriers to engagement, increase transparency, and keep everyone involved during the meeting.
  3. Use spectrum mapping (a visual thinking tool) to deepen knowledge of how to best collaborate, strengthen the ability to listen for understanding, and test the waters in decision-making processes.

This webinar series will be highly interactive, with plenty of time for hands-on practice both individually and in breakout rooms. Between sessions, participants will be asked to choose a “homework” assignment – a tool you can try out at a meeting and then debrief and workshop at the next session.

We highly recommend attending live to get the most out of each session, but both sessions will be recorded and shared with participants. Come ready to participate! We’ll meet on Zoom and use Mural, the online whiteboard app, which is best used with a computer (not on a phone).

Cost

$50 for NAO Members
$100 for Nonmembers
