Reinforcing What Holds: Sustain the Team

Location provided upon registration NE Portland
  • Member Price: $40.00
  • Non-member Price: $60.00

About this event

Even the strongest teams have limits. Without intentional reinforcement, the people holding the most weight can buckle under pressure. This session examines the internal architecture of care – the structural choices that make rest, repair, and shared responsibility non-negotiable parts of organizational life. We’ll explore how to move beyond surface-level wellness efforts toward practices that reinforce capacity, prevent burnout, and sustain the people who make the work possible. Participants will leave with strategies for strengthening what already holds and redesigning what was never fully equipped to carry the load.

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Identify Load-Bearing Roles – Recognize the formal and informal supports that keep your teams functioning.
  • Assess Structural Weak Points – Surface where the organization’s current culture of care is fragile or reactive.
  • Embed Rest and Repair – Learn how to make recovery and reflection structural priorities rather than optional add-ons.
  • Distribute Responsibility Wisely – Explore ways to share critical functions to avoid overburdening individuals.
  • Reinforce for Longevity – Develop reinforcement strategies that align with mission, values, and the realities of long-term work under pressure.
