How Finance Teams Can Break the Pattern of Endless Delay to Prioritize Mission-Driven Work

OMSI Fishbowl - 1st Floor
1945 SE Water Ave
Portland
  • Member Price: $40.00
  • Non-member Price: $60.00

About this event

With the pressures on finance and accounting teams’ daily operations, short-term urgencies can easily replace the focus on the mission. This dynamic leaves teams feeling chronically behind or as if they lack capacity to be strategic because they’re just getting by with limited time.

In this session, attendees will gain concrete tools, strategies, and resources to help their teams refocus on what matters most. We will review examples from other organizations that have successfully managed similar challenges. Fixing chronic operational issues and inefficiencies doesn’t have to be as overwhelming or time-consuming as you might believe. With aligned team members, supportive leadership, and reasonable goals, addressing problems proactively rather than just reacting will give you more time to be a strategic partner to your mission-driven organization.

Who Should Attend: Individuals who manage or provide financial services for nonprofit organizations, including board treasurers.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand and articulate trends impacting nonprofit finance and accounting teams.
  2. Identify tools, methods, and resources for overcoming operational challenges.
  3. Develop a plan to streamline or transform processes and teams to enable greater focus on mission-based activities.
