Workshop

Train Your Board (& Everyone Else) to Fundraise

The Tumwater Room Museum of the Oregon Territory
211 Tumwater Drive
Oregon City

About this event

This workshop is open to nonprofit Board members, staff, and volunteers. Thanks to the generous support of Kaiser Permanente and their commitment to making community nonprofit organizations stronger there will be no cost to attend this workshop.

Andy Robinson, National Trainer & Consultant

Based on Andy Robinson’s forthcoming “cookbook” of training exercises, this workshop is designed to teach you how to teach others—especially Board members—to increase their comfort and skill in fundraising. We’ll try out several exercises, while learning a variety of tips and tricks that will make you a more effective facilitator, trainer, and fundraising coach. Topics and exercises will include:

  • Fundraising: It’s not just asking for money
  • Developing a Board fundraising menu
  • Creating a 12-week major gifts campaign
  • Asking face to face
  • After the gift: What do we do now?

Because this is a train-the-trainer workshop, please come prepared to practice!
