Do a few people dominate your decision-making conversations, even when you ask for full group input? Do some people try to make the decision while others are still brainstorming ideas? Do people feel left out of the process?
Join professional facilitators Tasha Harmon and Jenny Leis for a highly interactive workshop using Zoom and Mural as we dig into ways to cultivate strong, useful participation in complex decisions.
Who: Whether you are a person who leads teams or “just” a team member, if you want to create a workplace culture that nurtures collaborative decision-making, this highly interactive workshop can help. It will be useful wherever your organization’s structure falls, from strong hierarchy to flat.
What: We’ll explore the concrete steps required to facilitate deep, effective engagement. We’ll also dig into the less obvious things that both make this work hard and give us the resources to address our challenges.
Through a colorful, visual experience, we will explore ways to make decisions effectively using a variety of formats, including individual writing/reflection, storytelling, small group work, visual mapping, and full group work. We’ll invite you to name a decision your group is trying to make and apply what we are offering to that example.
You will leave with useful framings and concrete tools you can use immediately, including handouts for your continuing use.
