Medford
  • Member Price: $45.00

About this event

Grants are an essential part of any nonprofit’s income strategy. What makes a productive grants program from beginning to end? This session will share key high-level strategies to build a productive grants program that helps you effectively seek and manage grants and meet your mission.

Strategies you’ll learn:

  • Pre-grant planning: what does your organization and community need, how do you know, and what types of grants should you be looking for?
  • Effective grant research: how to prioritize.
  • Resources to stay on track: grant calendar, portal logins, file management.
  • Key elements of a grant proposal and how to involve your organization’s program staff in proposal development: org summary, need statement, project description, population served, timeline, outcomes/measures, project budget, common attachments, and more.
  • What to do when you receive a notification: both the award and the decline.
  • Effective grants management during the grant period: monitoring deliverables and budget to stay on track.
  • What to do when things don’t go as planned: project changes, staff changes, and more.
  • Grant reporting.
  • Ongoing relationship management with grant makers.
