About this event

Nonprofit leaders often remark about wearing many hats. Though this paints a lighthearted, almost funny picture, there is an important truth hiding behind the humor: With a seemingly impossible number of priorities, how do we cut through the noise to focus on what our nonprofit truly needs in order to be sustainable? If the answer to this question feels important, we invite you to join us to learn how to strengthen your nonprofit’s foundation and ensure its long-term success, all while navigating the complexities of leadership in the nonprofit sector.

Achieving and maintaining long-term sustainability for our nonprofits is crucial, but can be simplified. When we boil it down, it requires:

  1. a driving passion for our mission, vision, and values;
  2. effective programs and services that meet the needs of our community;
  3. strong business and operational savvy;
  4. engaging people who care; and
  5. a growth mindset and learning cycle that helps us learn from both successes and failures.

In this session, we’ll explore how to integrate these five essential elements into a cohesive vision for your organization’s sustainability and success. We’ll discuss practical strategies for balancing priorities, staying focused on what matters, and building a resilient nonprofit. Participants will leave having identified a short list of priorities to focus on in their organization’s pursuit of long-term sustainability.
