Tim Rusk brings over 30 years of nonprofit work experience to his position as Nonprofit Education Specialist at NAO. He was executive director of an early childhood program in Central Oregon and led the organization from start-up, to a well-respected, tri-county program, and through a successful leadership transition when he left after 20 years. He loves learning, helping people succeed, applying best-practices, and being a part of a strong team. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz (go slugs!), has a Masters in Organization Development from Sonoma State University, and believes in the transformative power of working together for the common good.

Quin joined Redwood Foundation for Education in February 2018. She was born and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon and is a graduate of Grants Pass High School. She received a Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University and a Master’s in Management from Southern Oregon University. She comes to the foundation with over a decade of experience in nonprofit administration and is passionate about developing opportunities for the community to invest in students and schools. Quin is an active member of the community and current member of the Grants Pass School District 7 Budget Committee, Grants Pass Kiwanis Club, and the Rotary Club of Grants Pass. She is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum of Oregon and currently serves on the board of the Nonprofit Association of Oregon as Board Treasurer.

Laura Pinney is a seasoned nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of community, education, and individual empowerment. With a background in expressive arts therapy, the art of mentoring, community systems, and nature connection, she brings a unique, heart-centered approach to organizational leadership. Laura has served as an Executive Director for a total of 10 years and has led Rogue Valley Mentoring in Southern Oregon for the past 5 years, where she stewards programs that foster intergenerational connection and youth well-being. Her leadership is deeply influenced by her experiences learning from her father, Indigenous elders, and mentors who emphasized the importance of listening, reciprocity, and honoring relationship as central to community health. These teachings continue to guide her work today. Known for her laughter, compassionate curiosity, and deep listening, Laura values practical systems and brings presence and purpose to the everyday complexities of nonprofit leadership. A mother of two, she continues to learn alongside her team, community, and the natural world.
