Navigating HR and operations management can be challenging, especially for organizations without designated staff. Nonprofits of all sizes can benefit from collaborating with consultants for reliable support while navigating periods of growth and change or improving existing processes. This training will impart knowledge and strategies for strengthening your HR and operations functions, whether you’re a small nonprofit aiming to build a solid foundation or an established organization facing new demands.

Topics we will cover include:

  • Understanding the Role of Consultants: Discover how consultants can be valuable partners in enhancing operations and HR functions, whether complementing an internal team or acting in their absence. Learn about the different types of consultants, including fractional employees/consultants, and how to identify the right fit.
  • Assessing Your Needs: Identify your organization’s current practices and pinpoint gaps where consultants can make the most impact.
  • Effective Collaboration Strategies: Explore best practices for working with consultants, including setting clear goals, establishing communication protocols, and ensuring alignment with your nonprofit’s mission and values. Learn how to create an environment that maximizes the benefits of external expertise.
  • Developing Your HR Staff: Organizations with existing HR staff (or those looking to make their first hire) will learn about creating professional development pathways that can help expand your internal HR capacity, reducing the need for external help over time.

This training will be recorded and shared with all registered participants.
