Join Cascade Employers Association to discuss emotional intelligence and the ability to understand and manage your own emotions while understanding the emotions of others to aid in effective communication and empathy-building. This course couples the power in emotional intelligence with the nuances of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The premise of the workshop is that we cannot begin to understand others until we first understand ourselves and how we “show up” in work and personal environments. Incorporating a DEI mindset in EQi ensures that biases and prejudices are accounted for in the interpretation and understanding of our emotions and triggers and that of others.
Participants will:
- Explore the basic foundation of emotional intelligence through the EQi-2.0 model
- Discuss the introductory premise of diversity, equity and inclusion
- How to leverage EQ through a DEI lens
