About this event

Allyship in Action is excited to announce an upcoming learning opportunity for the Central Oregon nonprofit community: Foundations of Equitable and Inclusive Nonprofit Organizations. This two-part workshop series is for nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers in Central Oregon.

The workshops will take place on May 22nd and June 5th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the East Bend Public Library.

The series will support participants in developing a shared language and understanding of how systems of oppression (e.g. racism, cisheterosexism, and ableism) manifest themselves in Central Oregon. Participants will explore intersectionality, power, and privilege and how identity impacts the way people experience organizational oppression in nonprofits – both internally in nonprofit culture and externally in programming. The workshops will also provide strategies, tools, and practice for interrupting oppression and repairing harm. The workshop will be facilitated by a team of facilitators with intersectional identities who live, work, and have deep connections to nonprofit organizations in Central Oregon and beyond.

Participation will be available for a sliding scale rate of $255-$560+. If any amount is a barrier to your participation, we invite you to reach out to us at [email protected] before submitting your registration regarding the possibility of a reduced or waived workshop fee. These are available on a limited basis and provided in alignment with Allyship in Action’s values.
