Emily Squires is a facilitator and consultant who works with organizations seeking to connect deeply with their values and understand their social justice ecosystems. Emily supports organizations in understanding their capacity for change and creating a culture of care, holding dignity and relationships at the center. The work is guided by an understanding that for organizational patterns and culture to shift there must first be a praxis of care.  Emily’s approach is rooted in community participatory practices, leadership development, and  recognition of power dynamics. Emily’s work has spanned demographics and scale, engaging a wide range of communities and organizations – from teens to executives, and small, rural non-profit programs to large governmental agencies, including project management, workshops, curriculum development, experiential learning, and strategy. Working with Emily will always include a consideration of our connections to history and contemporary contexts, an embrace of creativity, and opportunities to try, fail, listen deeply, and try again. Emily holds a BA in Community Engagement through the Arts and a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Michigan and an MFA in Studio Art from Washington University in St. Louis.
