Just how inclusive is your workplace to the LGBTQ+ communities? This session, facilitated by Yee Won, will explore the challenges LGBTQ+ communities face in our society and institutions, how dominant messages about sexuality, sexual orientation, and gender shape us, why everyone has a stake in championing inclusive workplaces and communities and the actions anyone can start taking.
Key topics include:
- Concepts and terminology related to sexuality, sexual orientation, and gender
- Exercises to help participants reflect on their own identities and gain empathy
- A short LGBTQ+ history and the challenges that LGBTQ+ communities face today
- Actions participants can take to be champions for inclusive workplaces and communities
- And, of course, time for Q & A.
