About this event
Our Children Oregon’s All Children Thrive (ACT) Collective invites you to join us this summer and fall as we build our toolkits and strengthen our skills to act to improve child well-being in Oregon together!
ACT 101 is a 6-workshop virtual training series open to ACT members, both individuals and organizations, to build and strengthen your skills in advocacy, storytelling, and civic engagement. These free, 1-hour workshops will be led by local and national organizations and leaders, including Oregon Student Voice, FrameWorks Institute, and public speaking coach, Hannah Michelotti. These virtual trainings will include live Spanish interpretation and computer-aided closed-captioning. They will be recorded for future reference.
Centering around how to organize a group to initiate change in your community, this session will discuss how to start and run a team and organizational styles to lead your team, including the team-first leadership model. In addition, the training will cover partnership and networking methods to increase the effectiveness of your group. Register here.
Watch for more on our upcoming ACT 101 training series: Crafting Your Story (Storytelling 101 and Testimony 101) and Sharing Your Story (Public Speaking 101 and Media/PR 101). Can’t wait to sign up? Register for these now!
