This four-hour session is intended to meet you where you are through a discussion-based exploration of current challenges and opportunities from your unique perspective and experience.
Join trainers Alexis Millett and Sara Curiel Paez along with participants from Oregon, the Pacific NW region and beyond. Together, we will explore barriers people are experiencing, structural inequities, and fundamental mindsets and skills to build confidence and leadership to advance equity and inclusion. You will leave with some useful tools to bring a DEI lens to your daily work and life.
In this training we will delve into:
- The impacts of systemic bias on individuals, within organizations, and in society
- Strengthen your cross-cultural analysis while building cultural humility
- Develop mindsets that support life-long learning and transformation
- Explore a framework for individual, organizational, and structural change
- Opportunity to do a deep dive into one of three foundational mindsets and skills that advance equity.
We will introduce equity and inclusion concepts and provide tools for bringing an equity and inclusion lens to your work.
Appropriate for anyone interested in building their analysis, capacity, and leadership to advance equity and inclusion. It is also a useful session for organization’s who have worked with Capacity Building Partnership’s DEI Framework in the past and hope to get a refresh and/or orient new team members.
