So, you want to be a Freelance Grantwriter?
The Business of Freelance Grantwriting is a course for writers who want to start a freelance grantwriting or nonprofit consulting business. The class is also valuable for those who have already started a business and want to brush up on marketing and client management. The course has two components – an online, on-demand curriculum and an optional three-part group video conference series for deeper discussion and networking.
The course walks you through starting a business, developing a business plan, marketing techniques, contracts, best practices for working with clients, handling sticky situations, and ethics. Find out whether it pays to volunteer, how to raise rates, strategies for working with busy nonprofits, and much more. Investment is $129 per student. Group cohort meets Mondays 12-1pm January 24, 31, and February 7, 2022.
