PSLF Loan Forgiveness Workshop for Nonprofit Employees (Free)
A two hour in-person facilitated workshop for nonprofit employees that clarifies the requirements and process for receiving federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). Attendees will learn the critical elements to confidently get on track for PSLF loan forgiveness, minimize their monthly student loan payments, and understand their next steps to obtain student loan forgiveness in the future. You will learn in detail:
• How to find your student loans and really understand the student loan
servicing system
• What type of employment is considered "public service"
• Which types of student loans are eligible for PSLF, and what to do about
the ineligible loans
• Which repayment plans qualify, and what are the pros and cons of each
• How your payments are counted toward PSLF
• Your critical responsibilities to make sure you are making progress
• Strategies for minimizing your monthly loan payment and maximizing your
forgiveness amount
• Tips for dealing with difficult (or negligent) student loan servicing
companies
• Strategies for navigating this process successfully over a decade of your
career
