Come learn about the border crisis from Warren Binford, an internationally recognized children’s rights expert who was invited by legal counsel in Flores v. Barr to help conduct a series of site inspections and interview children in especially concerning government facilities where migrant children have been detained since 2017. She has published 67 written works, including academic articles, book chapters, essays, reports, and op-eds (in addition to amicus briefs and other legal filings) and has presented over 150 times across the country and around the world.

This event is one of four quarterly meetings in 2020 hosted by the Nonprofit Organizations Law Section of the Oregon State Bar. Professionals who assist nonprofits (CPAs, attorneys, consultants, etc.) as well as those volunteering or working for nonprofits are invited to attend. The presentation runs from

4:15 to 5:15pm, followed by refreshments and networking. CLE credit is available through the Oregon State Bar.
