About the Presenters

Presenter Elisa Dozono is a litigation and government affairs partner recognized by her peers as a "Top 25 Women Oregon Super Lawyer" in Super Lawyers magazine and in The Best Lawyers in America©. She helps organizations solve problems from employment, to real estate, to intellectual property, to governance, and regulatory disputes. Before law, she spent 11 years in public affairs with the Port of Portland, former Portland Mayor Vera Katz, former Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber, and Clinton/Gore '96, and worked for Channel 2 News. A former extern for the Honorable Ann Aiken of the U.S. District Court of Oregon, Elisa is a co-founder and member of the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and has served on several state and federal judicial screening committees. She is a former chair of the Oregon Lottery Commission and the Metro Expo Recreation Commission, and currently serves on the boards of the ACLU of Oregon, Oregon Public Broadcasting, and the Oregon Law Foundation. In 2018, Elisa was appointed by the Oregon Supreme Court to serve a three-year term as a Judge Pro Tempore for Washington County. Earlier this year, Elisa was honored with the prestigious Roberts & Deiz Award from Oregon Women Lawyers. |

Presenter Seth Row is an experienced insurance problem-solver and business litigator, representing commercial policyholders, including banks, manufacturers, developers, agriculturists, and public entities, in litigation and negotiation of insurance disputes in Oregon, Washington, and nationwide. He has assisted clients in recovering millions of dollars in insurance proceeds under many kinds of insurance policies, including commercial general liability (CGL), employment practices liability (EPL), directors’ & officers’ (D&O), cyber-risk, errors & omissions (E&O), stock, cargo, and marine coverages, through negotiation, arbitration, trial, and appeal. Seth also provides counseling on business risk management and effective insurance procurement. Seth is a frequent speaker and author on litigation and insurance matters, and has been recognized by Oregon Super Lawyers magazine and selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© in Insurance Law. Seth currently serves in the leadership of the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation, on the Multnomah Bar Association Board of Directors, and is a past member of the American Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee. |

Presenter P.K. helps higher education institutions, public, nonprofit, or mission-driven entities, and progressive employers address "messy human problems." She has more than a decade of experience counseling employers and managers and representing them in litigation and before administrative bodies on a full array of employment issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodation, family/medical leaves, whistleblowing, wage and hour, employee classification and independent contractor issues, and workplace torts such as defamation, wrongful discharge, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. P.K. counsels employers on all those issues, prepares and reviews employment handbooks and policies, and supervises or conducts workplace investigations. P.K. has been recognized by Oregon Super Lawyers magazine and selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America©. She was recently elected to serve as chair of the Oregon Law Commission after having been appointed to the Commission by Governor Kate Brown in 2017. The Commission recommends proposed laws and prepares detailed reports that assist the legislature in policy review and provide important legislative history for judicial interpretation. P.K. is active in the Oregon legal community, having served as past chair of the Oregon State Bar Constitutional Law Section, past member of the Oregon State Bar Appellate Section Executive Committee, and past board member and Lawyers’ Committee chair at the ACLU of Oregon. |
