This one-day program is designed to provide CEO and board leadership teams from small-to-midsize rural nonprofit organizations with tools they can use to develop a strategic plan. Learn what is and is not strategic planning and how your organization can benefit from a well-informed planning process. In this interactive session, learn the phases and activities to engage your planning team in a robust process. Find out how to involve staff, board members and community stakeholders in creating your plan and where in the process you might benefit from engaging outside help. Discover the important role your organization’s mission and vision play to inform and guide the planning process and learn what you can do to keep your plan alive!

• What is and is not strategic planning and the benefit of creating a strategic plan for your organization
• How your mission and vision inform and guide the planning process
• The phases and roles of strategic planning and tools and activities you can use to engage your planning team in creating a well-designed plan.

Participants will also gain useful tips and tools to keep people accountable and keep their plan alive!

Adrienne Graham, Owner, Leapfrog Training & Facilitation and Central Oregon Representative, Nonprofit Association of Oregon

Adrienne Graham, owner of Leapfrog Training & Facilitation, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Oregon’s nonprofits. Adrienne brings planning, resources and focus to the passion, commitment and energy it takes to sustain and grow a nonprofit. Nonprofit clients consistently note that Leapfrog’s programs, retreats and workshops are relevant, engaging, and well-organized.

Adrienne has 23+ years providing training, facilitation and teaching in the public and private sectors. Prior to launching Leapfrog in 2005, Adrienne designed and delivered leadership and organizational development programs for The Ford Family Foundation's Community Leadership Program. Adrienne was a Senior Consultant for the Nonprofit Association of Oregon (NAO) team, serving Central Oregon and rural communities around the state. While NAO no longer provides consulting services, Adrienne continues her work with NAO, designing and delivering workshops and programs to strengthen rural nonprofits and support member services in rural Oregon.
