This one-day program is designed to provide CEO and board leadership teams from rural nonprofit organizations with the tools and knowledge to develop their boards and their strategic plan. In this interactive and engaging session you will learn more about:
• Roles, Responsibilities and Legal duties of Nonprofit Boards
• Organizing the Work of the Board
• What is and is not strategic planning and the benefit of creating a strategic plan for your organization
• The important role your mission and vision play to inform and guide the planning process
• The phases and roles of a well-designed planning process and tools and activities you can use to engage your planning team in a robust planning process.
You will also gain useful tips and tools to keep people accountable and keep your plan alive!

About the Presenters

Presenter
Adrienne Graham, Senior Consultant and Regional Director of Central Oregon, Nonprofit Association of Oregon
Based in Sisters, Adrienne Graham brings deep experience with nonprofits. She served as a nonprofit executive director for over 12 years and for 20+ years has provided training, consulting and facilitation to nonprofits and to the public and private sectors. Prior to joining NAO, Adrienne owned Leapfrog Training & Facilitation, a consulting firm that provided strategic planning, leadership development and organizational effectiveness services to nonprofits, community groups and associations, including NAO.
Adrienne is a BoardSource-trained facilitator in Nonprofit Board and CEO Assessment and Development; is certified in Appreciative Inquiry (AI); and is a certified facilitator for the national Points of Light Foundation Youth Leadership Institute. She is an outdoor enthusiast and can be found all year round on the many captivating trails throughout the Central Oregon region.
