On April 17th, Jewish Family & Child Service will hold its 6th annual “Celebrating our Caring Community” luncheon. This year's theme is aging in place. The guest speaker will be Emily Wanderer Cohen, author of “From Generation to Generation: Healing Inter-generational Trauma Through Storytelling,” and daughter and granddaughter of Holocaust survivors. Ms. Cohen will speak about her own experiences as they relate to helping her mother age in place — and the associated services needed — as well as her insights into trauma-informed care.
