Looking for Love in All the Right Places: Helpful Hints for Identifying Planned Giving Prospects and Turning “NO” into “YES” will be presented by Aviva Shiff Boedecker, JD on Friday, March 16th from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the American Red Cross building, 3131 N. Vancouver in Portland. The event is co-sponsored by Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter and Northwest Planned Giving Roundtable. This session will help fund raisers find the right planned giving prospects, recognize clues that someone is a planned giving prospect and uncover gifts they may not have been seeking. The program will include planned giving case studies. Speaker Aviva Shiff Boedecker, JD is a Senior Consultant with the Sharpe Group based in San Francisco. An attorney with more than 30 years of gift planning experience, Boedecker has served for more than a decade each as a director of planned giving at the University of California, Berkeley and the Marin Community Foundation. The cost for the event, which includes breakfast, is $20 for AFP and NWPGRT members, $25 for nonmembers and guests.  Pre-registration is required.
