“Big Shop/Little Shop: How to Make Prospect Research Work For You” will be presented on Friday, May 12 at the monthly luncheon sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Oregon & Southwest Washington Chapter. Networking and luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by the program from noon to 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Multnomah Athletic Club, 1849 SW Salmon Street, Portland, OR 97205.
Have you struggled to make time for prospect research? Would you like to use data more effectively to build your major gift program? Karen Prater of the University of Oregon and Delanie Delimont, CFRE of the Portland Children's Museum will present practical tips for right-sizing major gift research
Karen Prater is the Associate Director for Development Analytics at the University of Oregon. She joined the UO Prospect Management and Analytics team as a prospect analyst in 2008. Her prior work experience includes research, analysis and supervision in multiple industries. Karen has a master's degree in library and information science, a master's degree in public administration and a graduate certificate in nonprofit management.
Delanie Delimont is the Donor Relations Officer at Portland Children's Museum. Delanie is responsible for managing all the donor stewardship of individual donors including cultivation events for the major gift program, communication and meeting with donors, as well as the prospect research and analysis of wealth screening data to inform donor prospecting. She has a master's degree in Public Administration from Portland State University with a focus on non-profit management.
The cost for the event is $35 for AFP and NWPGRT members, $25 for AFP Young Professional members and $50 for nonmembers and guests. Tables of 6 are available for $250. Pre-registration is required.
