About this event
This event is provided by Salem Art Association
For February’s Art Talk at the Bush Barn Art Center, Addyse Lane Palagyi
will give an interactive presentation, titled “Passion, Painting and
Poetry.” For this event, she will discuss how to combine the passion of
both painting and poetry within one project. Guests will be provided with
materials to create abstract paintings based around Addyse’s published
poetry, which she will read aloud. Addyse has dedicated much of her life to
the arts as a Professor of Theatre for 48 years, and has taught at six major
American universities. She has also been an arts advocate abroad in Russia,
China, Mexico, Hungary, and Ukraine. As a performer, Addyse has made stage
appearances from New York to Los Angeles, including notable benefits such as
Jimmy Carter’s Habitat for Humanity project in Georgia. Come learn from a
talented and dedicated artist at this free event.
A meeting of the Salem Art Association Gallery Guides will take place after
the presentation. Those interested in learning more about this group of
volunteer docents are welcome to attend.
