“Inclusive Philanthropy: Giving in the LGBT Community” will be presented
at the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Oregon & Southwest
Washington Chapter (AFP) Annual Chapter Meeting and Luncheon on Friday,
December 9 at the Multnomah Athletic Club, 1849 SW Salmon Street, Portland.
Registration opens at 11 a.m. Lunch, the annual meeting and the program begin
at 11:30 a.m. The 2017 AFP Chapter board of directors will be elected.
Nonmembers and guests are invited to attend.

Elizabeth Dale, Ph.D. will present new academic research on LGBT donors,
their philanthropy and their donor experiences. The session will help
organizations translate the research into concrete steps to engage and
cultivate LGBT donors. Dale is an Assistant Professor of Nonprofit Leadership
at Seattle University. Her research interests include gender differences in
philanthropy, giving in the LGBT community, and grassroots and social justice
organizations. She previously served as Director of Development at Advocate
Illinois Masonic Medical Center, a large community hospital based in Chicago,
and as a campaign manager for the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago.

The cost for the event is $35 for AFP and NWPGRT members, $25 for AFP Young
Professional members and $50 for nonmembers and guests. Tables of 8 are
available for $350. Pre-registration is required. Online registration is
