About this event

This event is provided by Audubon Society of Portland

Audubon Society of Portland is excited to welcome naturalist and
photographer Paul Bannick to our Speaker Series talk on a year in the life of
North American owls. Paul, who has tracked owls in the field for 10 years,
will be sharing dramatic photos from his brand-new book, Owl: A Year in the
Lives of North American Owls, along with video and sound recordings that
reveal the daily behavior and life cycle of these enigmatic creatures. He
will take us along the four seasons in owl territory, chronicling spring
courtship, mating and nesting, fledging and feeding young in summer, autumn
independence, migration and winter food competition. Join us for this special
glimpse into the lives of these secretive birds. $5 suggested donation.
