About this event

This event is provided by UpCity Consulting, LLC

Join one of the Pacific Northwest’s most successful grant writers, Eli Levine, plus representatives from Meyer Memorial Trust, The Collins Foundation, and the Hoover Family Foundation for a highly engaging workshop that will help position your organization for increased funding.

This workshop is divided into two sessions (morning and afternoon) designed to accommodate busy schedules, and to better address a wide variety of interests and skill levels. As a participant, you may register for one or both sessions, depending on your training needs.

SESSION 1: The Science of the Grant Proposal (9:00am-12:30pm)

This hands-on, interactive training will provide participants with the necessary tools to identify and cultivate potential funders; write a compelling proposal letter (using real examples as guides); and integrate grant funding into your nonprofit’s overall fundraising plan. Both foundation and corporate giving opportunities are discussed in depth.

SESSION 2: Interactive Panel Discussion with Foundation Program Officers
(1:30pm-4:30pm)

This audience-led Q&A session is designed for anyone and everyone who is interested in learning more about the inner workings of Oregon’s most influential foundations directly from the senior program officers who evaluate grant proposals and influence funding decisions. Panelists include Sally Yee of Meyer Memorial Trust, Sara Yada of The Collins Foundation, and Glen Friedman of the Hoover Family Foundation.

Following the panel discussion, attendees will enjoy complimentary snacks, beer, wine, coffee and tea while casually engaging with each of the program officers. If you’re looking to make personal connections and talk one-on-one about your organization, program or proposal, this is your chance!

REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Guests may purchase tickets to one or both sessions.

Sliding scale options are available.
