Philanthropic individuals and organizations will be honored at the 2016
Philanthropy Awards Luncheon presented by the Association of Fundraising
Professionals Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter (AFP) on Monday,
November 7. The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton
Portland & Executive Tower Hotel, 921 SW Sixth Avenue, Portland, Oregon.
The 2016 Philanthropy Award recipients are:
• J.S. May, Allan Price Award for Distinguished Service to the Fundraising
Profession
• Ben and Elaine Whiteley, Vollum Award for Lifetime Philanthropic
Achievement
• Jim and Judith Youde, Outstanding Philanthropists
• Starker Forests, Inc., Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation
• MRG Foundation, Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation
• Humane Society for Southwest Washington, Outstanding Volunteer Group
• Union High School National Honor Society, Youth in Philanthropy
The 30th annual luncheon celebrates National Philanthropy Day, which
recognizes the contributions of philanthropy and those people active in the
