Are you an executive director or board member who wants to engage more deeply with fundraising, but are unsure of how to effectively fulfill your role? If you are a development director, are you struggling to find volunteers or program staff willing to help with fundraising—and ways in which to show them the value of philanthropy? Are you looking for more meaningful ways of engaging donors than simply getting them to fundraising events?
This 90-minute, interactive session will explore skills and strategies to help nonprofits increase their fundraising effectiveness by leading with vision and values, creating donor-centered plans for engagement, and adopting a team approach to philanthropy. The session will cover:
- Specific staff and volunteer roles for fundraising, and the research on why they work best in tandem
- Strategies for helping reluctant leaders feel confident about how they can advance philanthropy
- Connecting the dots between fundraising requests and the work of your nonprofit, emphasizing outcomes and impact
- Tactics for getting the most out of trainings, committees, meetings – and most importantly, getting your team to follow through
- Plenty of nonprofit success stories and examples from your peers
