Presenter
Nick MacDonald, Nonprofit Analytics & Learning Consultant
How do you dream of changing the world? Few people answer that question with "managing projects" but the truth is many nonprofits manage their work through projects. Managing projects efficiently and effectively is often the weak link in delivering impact.
In this session of the Nonprofit Leaders Network, participants will:
- Understand how to apply key principles of project management
- Learn the important disciplines that need to be applied to get results
- Learn to apply the right tools to projects to stay on time, on budget, and deliver high impact programs
NEW Flash Consulting Sessions Available!
Fund development consultants Clarinda Hanson White and James Phelps will be available for complimentary 10-minute "flash" consulting sessions during the networking portion of this event. Availability is limited and offered on a first come first served basis.
About the Presenter
Nick MacDonald is a consultant working with non-profit executives and teams to help them create greater impact though better organizational effectiveness. Using data-driven approaches to address a wide-variety of issues in evidence-based decision making, from complex evaluations to organizational mergers and partnerships, his passion is for increasing program quality and impact.
Nick has a background in international refugee work in a variety of conflicts around the world, and now consults with Mercy Corps and other (mostly) Oregon based nonprofits, as well as teaching Humanitarianism and Conflict at the University of Oregon.
