Brad Earl, Chief Financial Officer
Medford School District
Lunch & Networking at 11:30
Presentation at 12:00
At the January 18, 2012 Rogue Valley Nonprofit Training Series session “Models for Effective Leadership,” a panelist referenced Jim Collins’s popular leadership book Good to Great and touched on how its core concepts can help nonprofits succeed. Join us as we kick off the 2012/13 series to explore these success-making concepts in more depth, focusing on the author’s companion piece, Good to Great and the Social Sectors. We’ll explore the following questions:
- What is your Hedgehog Concept?
- How can you employ your concept to turn the flywheel of your organization?
- How do development work and fundraising events fit into these concepts?
You’ll have the opportunity to hear, discuss, and work directly with ideas designed to improve your organization. The session will provide the framework for thinking about the mission and vision of your organization, and create a safe space to explore how the book’s core concepts may help your organization succeed. The goal of this session is to encourage the kind of critical thinking and intentionality that are necessary for success in today’s recessed economy.
About the Presenter
