It can be difficult to develop and implement policies for your peer-run organization while allowing peer workers flexibility to assist others in their recovery. This webinar will address establishing accountability, fidelity to models, and protections in and for your organization, peer workers, and those served.

Janie Marsh has worked as a Peer Support Specialist, Forensic Peer Specialist, QMHA, and Community Support & Integration Teams Coordinator for Yamhill County Behavioral Health. She has been involved in program development and has provided individual support in a variety of ways such as mental health and addictions recovery, physical health and well-being, with Supported Employment, and Early Assessment and Support Alliance. Janie joined MHAO in 2014 and is Director of MHAO EVOLVE Peer Delivered Services. Janie spent one year in Lewis and Clark’s Professional Counseling Mental Health & Addictions graduate school program in 2014/15 and then transferred to Portland State University’s Master of Public Administration: Health Administration program Fall of 2015.

Sunny Briscoe recently relocated from Houston, Texas where she spent the last five years working in the litigation industry, specifically for a boutique law firm in Midtown and most recently for a business valuation firm, voted number one in Houston by Texas Lawyers Magazine five years running. She has also worked as an instructor and tester with Harris County’s Department of Education. Sunny brings a diversity of life experience, including her work with non-profits dedicated to the assimilation of refugees to American society and the reformation of vulnerable people living on the streets of London, England.
