About this event

Engagement through Social Media

May 12, 2016 | 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Dinner Provided

Brownsville City Hall | 255 N Main St, Brownsville, OR 97327

Social media is an invaluable tool when used effectively – most of us dabble in it with our personal lives but struggle to take that next step and engage on an organizational or business level. These online mediums can help successfully engage community members, promote special events, highlight local businesses, as well as connect users and families. This presentation will add social media tools to your marketing and outreach toolkit, including best practices and content creation strategies for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and more. Come with a laptop, mobile device, and/or notepad to this interactive session.

    Outcomes

  • Participants will have a better understanding of the functionality across social media platforms
  • Participants will feel more comfortable and empowered to use these communication mediums
  • Participants will be able to identify and evaluate the best social media platform(s) for engaging community
