Are you a fan of Newbery Award Winning books like Charlotte’s Web and The Giver? Form a crew of young filmmakers to recreate a childhood favorite book for the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, which Portland Community Media (PCM) is hosting in February! This 3-session workshop will offer access to check out PCM Youth Media equipment such as iPads, tripods, and audio equipment.
The 90- Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual video contest in which creative kid filmmakers compress the stories of Newbery award-winning books into amazing movies of about 90 seconds. This popular festival is in its fifth year, screening in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and of course Portland.
