An organization’s website is its online hub. But how well does it represent the organization’s brand? Can supporters and constituents find the information they need there? And can staff members easily create or update its content?

Over five sessions Idealware will help nonprofits develop a plan for a more useful and engaging website. We’ll walk participants through website basics, best practices for accessibility, mobile-optimization, and online branding. We’ll also take a look at the content management systems (CMS) that can give even the least tech-savvy staff members the tools they need to update website content themselves. Finally, we’ll talk about how website content works alongside email, direct mail, and social media efforts to create an organization’s communications mix.

Through participation in this course, you will:

  • Define goals for how the website will serve the organization’s audience.
  • Learn best practices for designing an accessible, usable, and polished website.
  • Compare content management system (CMS) options.
  • Make sure the website shows up high in search results.
  • Create an action plan with next steps and action items for an improvement process.

Participants will also be given weekly “homework” assignments. Registration includes an invitation to join the live broadcast for each webinar, as well as a recorded version that participants can view at their convenience.
