Oregon Disability Sports’ annual A Celebration of Sport dinner and auction will also honor the 8th class of inductees into The Oregon Disabled Sports Hall of Fame and include chances to meet US Paralympic National Team members from USA Handcycling and USA Goalball. Event proceeds support the nonprofit ODS and its mission: to provide and promote recreational, fitness and competitive opportunities for people with physical disabilities. About Oregon Disability Sports (ODS): Founded in 1982, the nonprofit ODS annually provides hundreds of physically disabled youth, adults and family members with sports opportunities that include:
· Affordable access to adaptive sports equipment
· Participation in Individual and team sports at the recreational and competitive levels
· Trained and experienced coaches
· Financial support of athletic teams involved in competitions and tournaments at the local, regional and national levels
ODS adaptive sports currently include: wheelchair basketball and rugby, goalball, track and field, swimming, kayaking and handcycling.
