Workshop

Mobilize Your Board to Raise More Money

Mercy Corps, Aceh Lecture Room 45 SW Ankeny Street
Portland

About this event

Andy Robinson
National Trainer & Consultant

If your Board isn’t raising all the money it could—indeed, if your Board isn’t raising any money at all—you’re not alone. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the reasons why, and outline strategies to turn things around through stronger leadership. You’ll leave with several practical options for increasing Board involvement and effectiveness.

Topics include:

  • Developing a culture of fundraising
  • The psychology of fundraising—why donors give
  • Building a Board fundraising ladder
  • Identifying and grooming your fundraising sparkplug
  • Alternative fundraising models—and how to apply them to your Board
  • Holding each other accountable with Board fundraising agreements

Who Should Attend?

This training is designed for nonprofit executive directors, development staff, and Board members. Board Chair/Executive Director teams will especially enjoy this opportunity to work together to mobilize your Board.
