Join Senator Betsy Johnson, the ASK Board, and other distinguished leaders
from all sectors as we celebrate Airway Science for Kids, Inc. organzation
for providing over 20 years of science, technology, engineering,and math
(STEM) opportunities through the lens of flight and aviation to underserved
youth and communities of color, in the N/NE Portland and Hillsboro.
In addition to hearing from ASK alumnae, Karen Kuhlman, current Oregon State University Sophomore working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, our “Pilot In Command” Presenter, Corey Frazier, Ph.D., PE, Senior Systems
Engineer at Intel Corporation, will talk about the importance of corporate
and community involvement in providing opportunties to motivate children
early on to engage in STEM activities.
This luncheon is presented by our Platinum Sponsor, Port of Portland and a
number of wonderful local businesses – thank you to all of them.
A complimentary boxed lunch with a choice of ham, turkey, or roast beef
sandwich, with chips, a cookie, drink and a pickle will be provided. *Please
let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or would like a vegetarian
