Nonprofits of many types and particularly human service support organizations are increasingly in the vanguard of battling the societal maladies of our time: violence, poverty and racism. Nonprofits work on strategies for prevention as well as remediation, and are often asked to do more with less, as policy makers are strapped by deeper budget cuts.

What does the future hold for nonprofits attempting to change fundamental issues in our society? How do these issues get addressed through holistic human service support? What are the top priorities at the national level and how are the public sector and nonprofits partnering differently? What kinds of opportunities do we see for changes to current systems? Join a group of dedicated nonprofit and public sector leaders to hear and discuss these issues with Jatrice Martel Gaiter.

Jatrice Martel Gaiter serves as the executive vice president of external affairs for Volunteers of America. She positions the organization to build national awareness of its depth of knowledge and breadth of programs and services for America’s most vulnerable citizens.
