Most everyone likes pie, but not everyone likes the size of piece you provide them. How a nonprofit builds their resource “pie” and then how they subsequently slice up their pie varies; there is no blue ribbon recipe that fits all nonprofits. Revenue models that include activities such as diversifying your income sources and lowering overhead are generally agreed on but they come with trade offs and considerations that every nonprofit should consider. This workshop will present common stereotypes of nonprofit financial modeling, explore alternatives and give you a recipe of ingredients to consider what is the right “revenue pie” for your nonprofit organization.
