Presenter
Tony Ande, Director of Finance & Administration, Self Enhancement, Inc.

The process of grant development and management, regardless of whether the funding source is private or public, is a continuum of tasks that move from identifying funding opportunities, to creating and submitting proposals, to implementing awarded grants, and reporting on outcomes, fiscally and programmatically. Obviously this is not a comprehensive list of steps, but generally the actual increments in this process should follow a consistent sequence within an organization, with some specific criteria linked to organizational objectives.

Financial leaders are well positioned, and indeed carry significant responsibility to insure the organization makes strategic and systematic decisions with regard to funding pursuits.

In this session, participants will consider how and when, in the context of this continuum, to add value and stability to the process. We will discuss:

  • Risk Assessment
  • Cost Analysis
  • Budgeting
  • Monitoring Grant Expenditures
  • Accounting specific to grants
