Do you know the key predictors for major gifts? This workshop will provide you with the tools to maximize donations from individuals and identify your best prospects for upgrade, major gifts and planned gifts. Drawing on research, we’ll review the five key donor characteristics that have been demonstrated to predict major gifts. The data presented will help you to guide and evaluate your staff and fundraising program.
Some of the questions we’ll answer using evidence-based practice:
- What information about prospects can help predict future giving?
- Who should be targeted for major gifts?
- Who should be targeted for planned giving?
- What is the right ask amount?
- How many prospects do I need to reach my campaign goal?
- How do I know my fundraising staff is on track to grow our major gift program?
After this workshop you will understand the five key predictors for major gifts; you’ll be able to use your organization's giving history to evaluate your best prospects for major and planned gifts; and assess how many prospects you need to reach your campaign goal. The session will include real-life stories of campaign hits and misses, a fair dose of good humor, and opportunities for participants to ask questions.
